Ecosystem Service Potentials and Underlying Influences in a Tropical Rainforest Ecosystem
نویسندگان
چکیده
Tropical ecosystems have vast array of ecosystem services but are largely un-quantified. This study explored the capacity rainforest to deliver and inherent influences that determine such. Forest plots measuring 50m × were set up in 14 locations used for tree enumeration. Soil samples collected at four edges middle each plot 0-30cm depth, bulked analyzed. Aboveground, belowground soil carbon, biodiversity variables equally conducted according standard procedures. Pearson correlation regression verify aboveground carbon relationships between elevation capacities, respectively. 85 species within 32 families enumerated across ecosystem. Biodiversity patterns showed a diversity index 3.376, relative dominance Dialium guineense Willd., (54.34%) seven other with ? 1% dominance. Species possessed provisioning regulating values. Carbon estimates biomass range 1.73 – 6.50 t/ha-1, percentage organic ranges 4.76 8.80% 17.78 91.3 Elevation did not generally influence stock ecosystem, had some on carbon. Effective strategies would address reductions advocated.

متن کاملTradeoffs between income, biodiversity, and ecosystem functioning during tropical rainforest conversion and agroforestry intensification.
Losses of biodiversity and ecosystem functioning due to rainforest destruction and agricultural intensification are prime concerns for science and society alike. Potentially, ecosystems show nonlinear responses to land-use intensification that would open management options with limited ecological losses but satisfying economic gains. However, multidisciplinary studies to quantify ecological los...
متن کاملModelling Net Ecosystem CO2 Exchange by Simple Tropical Ecosystem Model
SITE model was developed to study the response of tropical ecosystems according to environmental conditions for estimating of energy fluxes. This study analyzed the net ecosystem of CO2 exchange (NEE) by ecosystem modeling and field measurements in a semi deciduous forest located at 50 km of Sinop municipal district, Mato Grosso, Brazil. Continuous measurements of canopy CO2 storage and fluxes ...
متن کاملEvolving Service Ecosystem
Abstract— Service computing plays a critical role in business automation and we can observe a rapid increase of web services and their compositions nowadays. Web services, their compositions, providers, consumers and other entities such as context information, collectively form an evolving service ecosystem. Many service recommendation methods have been proposed to facilitate the use of servi...
